I liked book one as mentioned but I LOVED book two. It is action packed all the way through and I especially liked the character of Cassie in this book. Dr. Paul Nassai is back but he and Cassie switch off telling the story from each of their points of view.
It's two months later than book one and the virus has wiped out over five billion people - over half the world's population. The virus that caused the global pandemic in the first book is still around but there are mutations and ramifications from those changes.
Loose ends are pretty well tied up at the end of this book, which I appreciate, so I really do believe there are only these two books planned.
I noticed quite a few proofreading errors in the first book. I was still able to enjoy the story but they are there. And I saw errors in this book, too. Not as many but the author really does need to find a better proofreader.
So if you like post-apocalyptic fiction, stories about pandemics, thrillers, action fiction, give this series a try. It's a fun, exciting way to spend your leisure time.
The only question I have left is: How can someone pull on a pair of latex gloves the day after having one arm amputated? lol.
If you are looking for gripping entertainment, grab a copy of Zero Dawn.
