I am a 180 lb man and I was worried that I would be too big for it as I am pushing the top end of the 180 lb weight cap for this bike. But It sturdy and feels perfect. Let me preface this review by saying that I am using this Zike as an exercise bike. I have knee issues and lost the ability to Jog, yet I still love being outdoors when I exercise. I was looking into the other brands of bike/elliptical exercise machines but they run $1,200 and Up, so this Zike at under $500 This is the perfect solution! I have been hitting the hills in my town and my heart rate get way up there (in a good way) plus its fun! I have read others negative comments that this is slow and cannot climb hills. Both are true but those dontconcern me because its NOT a bike. I simply move along at a little faster than sprinting pace (on a flat surface). It still flies down hills. Going up hills is a great workout however if you climb one with more of about a 30 degree pitch it becomes almost impossible (even in the "lowest") gear. However I have found that if I simply "switchcack" or sway up the hill... (imagine a leaf falling from a tree in revears) back and forth up the hill , I am able to climb any hill no matter how steep.. all the while getting an Amazing work out.
In short m, I HIGHLY recommend this bike/ machine for any adult looking for a cost effective workout. Or for a kid/ person who wants a fun toy but doesn't need to get there quick and likes in a sort of flat neighborhood...
I must admit that I purchased this On ebay (new) rather than Amazon and saved about $100. I got mine for around $350... so..
Oh one last this..
Be prepared to purchase or have on hand a 20mm socket (wrench) and 22 open end wrench for assembly). Its sort of a bummer that this is sort of a big size and most people dont have .. so you may have to run to the hardware story day of...
