The parts are clearly labeled to make assembly fool proof. You connect joints labeled 1 with their peer joint also lableld 1. Repeat. The picture guide is outstanding. My only hiccup was a screw did not want to go in. I found that the sticker labeling the part had loosened and was covering part of the female connection. They provide spare screws, a hex wrench and a ratchet hex wrench. A step up wou;ld have been to deliver a ratcheting torgue wrench to help ensure customers do not over tighten screws.
The cover that covers the frame even has a tag on the corner that helps you orient the cover over the width/length dimensions. Although a small detail, that was extremely helpful (think of a fitted mattress pad or fitted sheet - guessing which sheet corner matches to which matrress corner!).
The wood slats have a strip of velcro stapled to them and the bed frame has a matching strip, The velcro on the slats has gaps between slats to help space them out.
The box tha arrived and was pretty beat up, I think every seam had additional tape. It was clear the box had been abused. But, it didn't really matter. The packaged goods made good use of the metal frame to protect the cover and the wood slats. Multiple zip ties kept it all assembled safely for shipping and samonsite gorrilla abuse.
