Thank you Amazon for coming through for me with this bed frame! My apartment burned down 6 months ago and my family and I finally got a new place.
I received donations from the Red Cross and they gave me a gift certificate from Bobs Discount Furniture.
I went and purchased a new mattress and a bed frame with this certificate. Well I’m still waiting for the frame to come and I ordered it on December 7th, 2022. I recently filed a BBB complaint because Bobs furniture is nothing but a dishonest company!
They donated money in the form of a gift certificate only to play games with a customer who just lost everything they worked hard for for the past 12 years. I had torn ligaments in my knee trying to get out of the apartment fire and I haven’t been able to walk very well since.
My Drs told me that it needs time to heal and I need to stay off of my leg as much as possible. Bobs furniture made sure that I was sleeping on my new apartment floor since December 7th.
Instead of just telling me in the beginning that the frame I purchased was discontinued and not being manufactured anymore they continued to just lie repeatedly and every single customer service representative had a different story every time I contacted them to find out when my frame was being shipped out.
I told them that I lost everything in an apartment fire and that sleeping on my brand new mattress on a floor with torn ligaments in my knee was making my recovery non- existent because trying to pick yourself up from the floor off of a mattress at my age (52) with major health problems was nearly impossible.
So needless to say, I have completely re- injured my leg and need surgery now because of the constant weight and pressure of picking myself up off the mattress on the floor caused major damage to the knee ligaments.
Bobs furniture did nothing to help me except promise a store credit after I found out that I’ve been lied to for three weeks.
Thank you to the customer service representative that found it in their heart not to continue to lie to me. I’m still waiting on my store credit because they keep telling me that I have to wait until my full refund is returned to my account??
I purchased this frame December 7th and today is January 4th.
Bobs is telling me that it takes this long to credit a refund back to my bobs account so I can then order a different brand frame. Do yourself a favor and STAY CLEAR AWAY FROM BOBS DISCOUNT FURNITURE!
I received a gift certificate from them which I’m incredibly grateful for, but the attached aggravation that goes with it is definitely not worth the added misery after losing everything my family owned including almost our lives in a devastating apartment building fire.
After doing research on Bobs Discount Furniture they currently have over 5000 complaints against them and only a little over 500 of those complaints resolved to the customers satisfaction.
How despicable these facts are considering they supposedly care so much about our problems in the community. About social justice and the need to help low income people.
In my opinion, this is the reason for their charitable contributions; it’s a smokescreen for their disgusting behavior!
I went on to finally tell this woman I spoke to from Bobs that if they couldn’t ship out the frame ASAP after waiting three weeks and being told nothing but lies continuously that I was going to order from Amazon. She proceeded to tell me “ go right ahead and get yourself another frame from Amazon if you don’t want to wait!” I was like okay that’s exactly what I’m planning on doing because this is absolutely unrealistic that a customer has to be treated like a non- human being and that Im sleeping on the floor like I'm a dog or a cat ( it’s actually really sad because my cat has a much better bed than I do at that time because I made sure my cat has nothing but the best)
Amazon came through within 2 days with a frame that was much cheaper in price and much better quality than Bobs frame that sell for $139.99 and then when I found out that this one was discontinued that a replacement frame would cost another $30.00 more considering I was using gift certificate that was donated from Bobs to people less fortunate but they wanted me to give them another $30.00 in total for a grand total of $169.99 for a different model frame that Amazon sells for less than $80.00 used!!
Sorry for my long winded review, but the moral of this story is: STAY AWAY FROM BOBS DISCOUNT FURNITURE AND GIVE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY TO AMAZON A COMPANY THAT TRULY CARES ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS!
Bottom line: a company isn’t a company without good customers returning to your store to buy products from you!
If you cannot treat customers right then go find another profession because customer service is very important to a company that needs the money that customers spend in order to stay in business, is it too much to ask then to keep your promise and if not make it right by your customers and put a smile on their faces! It’s not worth a dime to lie and cheat someone like my family after being displaced by fire!
