High Polish Chrome Lighter
The High Polish Chrome lighter, one of Zippo's most popular finishes, has been in the product line since 1938. All surfaces of the lighter (front, reverse, top, bottom and sides) are finished with a lustrous, mirror-like finish.
High Polish Chrome
Diagonal Weave Lighter
The Diagonal Weave lighter was added to the line of lighters featuring the directional brushing technique in 2013, joining the Herringbone Sweep and Chrome Arch lighters. The directional brushing technique adds a distinctive vertical cross-hatched pattern to the front and back of the lighter. While the sides of the standard brushed chrome lighter have a high polish finish, the sides of this model feature a tumbled/street chrome finish.
One of the oldest decorative patterns, the Engine Turned lighter has been available since the late 1930's. Vertical lines are engraved on the front and the reverse of this high polish chrome lighter. The front of this lighter features an engraving panel which can be engraved with up to three initials. Sides of the Engine Turned lighter are high polished.
Antique Silver Plate
Originally introduced in 1995, the Antique series of lighters were available in regular and Vintage (flat top, flat bottom) models in Antique Silver, Antique Brass, and Antique Copper. The regular Antique Silver and Antique Brass are still in the product line today.
The Antique finish lighters have a unique finish to give it a used, nostalgic and broken antique look. The flat finish offers a 'weathered' look that is created by staining the pieces after they are tumbled. Each Antique finish lighter is identified by a peel-off label and protected by a long-wearing clear coat to preserve the antique look.
Unless otherwise stated, every Zippo windproof lighter is packaged in the 'one box', designed to address the growing concern over the depletion of natural resources. Both the attractive gift box and the cardboard insert are made from renewable materials and are 100% recyclable. The patented 'one box' is attractive, easy to handle, and designed to display more of the lighter than ever.

1) It's a Zippo. They're amazing.
2) See reason #1.
This lighter is the STREET CHROME model. It looks like it's old, scratched, and worn. Although it doesn't have any dings or deep scratches on it, it DOES look like it's spent an eternity in a pocket of a pair of jeans, jangling around with keys and change.
If you're looking for a lighter in absolutely pristine condition with a mirror finish, this isn't the one for you.
Also, the majority of the negative reviews are coming from people that are strangely dumbfounded that it doesn't come with fluid in it. I've owned a few Zippos through my life, and NONE of them have EVER come straight out of the box with fluid in them. If one were to buy a Zippo at a fine Tobacconist, the Proprietor of said establishment may fill it for you the first time, but after that, you're on your own. These lighters ARE NOT airtight. The fuel evaporates after a while, in as little as a week. If you're looking for a lighter that you can toss in a drawer, or glove box of a car and use once a month without having to fill it, don't get a Zippo. If you're looking for a lighter that you can leave in your bug-out bag or something, don't get a Zippo. If you're looking for a lighter that won't run out of fuel while you're camping for a month, don't get a Zippo. If you have an affinity for camping with fancy-looking lighters, get a Colibri or something. Heck, some Colibris even have built-in cigar cutters. Or, better yet, get a Bic and stop trying to look so damn fancy while lighting campfires.
And Remember, if your Zippo lighter ever breaks- don't hesitate to contact Zippo, because......Read more ›
1. It doesn't ship with fuel in it and you have to buy it separately its just the law get used to it.
2. read up on proper use and maintenance of an item before you buy it.
Other than that, this is a good lighter, its just not as user friendly as the disposable bic lighters, and you need a bit of common sense to get its full value. If you don't feel like refueling and occasionally re-flinting/wicking your lighter this isn't for you.
i was gonna wait a few days and put up this review on the first of the month and complain that it didn't have fluid and that there was a sticker on it that left a bunch of glue that only a wizard that was trained in dark magic could remove..oh! and the scratches...
BUT, i figured i would have confused the slower folks. (get it?-april 1st?)
this is the deal of the century.
an American made lighter with a lifetime guarantee shipped for free in 2 days (i have prime so you peasants... should step aside.) for under 10 bucks???
i must have stepped off the bus in Crazytown (nice place).
i would have bought 2 but why? if i don't lose it 1 will last a lifetime.
-i love the build. it's an engineers dream. super simple and super functional.
-i love the finish (street chrome). why? because standard chrome is too slippery and the girlies need to think i have change in my pocket (i don't--i used it to buy a zippo)
-i love the smell. c'mon guys! admit it! zippo fumes and wd-40..the best smells ever!
ain't life great? i submit that it is.
my tips for a better zippo experience (take my advice at you own risk but this is what i do)
-i keep it full but never overfull.i use only zippo or ronson fluids and flints.
-i keep an extra flint under the felt and i only finger-tighten the flint screw
-i dab an extremely small amount of superglue on the ends of the hinge pin to keep the pin from sliding out. the old sliding pin syndrome has shelved many a great zippo. it only takes a teeny little drop.too much and you'll get glue in the pin and mess up your rig, so don't do this unless you're slick.
thats what i do. it's up to you if you want to.
enjoy your lighter.
i hope i helped.

Zippos are a nice commodity but they can't hold fuel for more than a week and it's honestly the most disappointing thing about this brand. Read morePublished 2 days ago by David Sheloush
Worked, then stopped in less than a month. Not the Zippo I used to know:(Published 2 days ago by D. Olejniczak
Not really sure what I can submit in this section that doesn't already explain the quality that is ZIPPO.
Shipped quickly, and all of them work perfectly.
