The pump and the rest are fine-- plenty of flow, pressure, etc. If it weren't for the issues with the battery box and the hard-to-find-with-soap-in-your-eyes off-on switch, it'd be a five-star product.
I use rechargeable D-cell batteries with it and no problems from the device so far. its very easy to use, just attach the spray hose to the water pump and place it in a bucket of water, while the power pack stays outside in an elevated position so water does not drain to it. just press the RED power button and off you go. the build feels very sturdy. the battery pack, if taken care of, should be very reliable. it has a gasket that seals around the opening part. the button feels durable enough that it wont be torn easily.
As said earlier I use rechargeable batteries and have found them to last me very long. 1 set of FOUR D-cell batteries have been able to give me about TWENTY 5-8 minute long showers before the water spray was noticeably diminished. you could still shower with that, but the rinse is greatly compromised especially on your head.
Like many people, sadly I lost my home, and live in my car. I was freaking out about not being able to shower; so this pump has been invaluable to me. As a female, I appreciate being able to keep up my hygiene with no one being the wiser. As long as you have some form of water source, this is an excellent product. I purchased 2, in case I can't find them in the future. Placing a plastic bag over the battery case is a good idea, because no matter no hard you try to be careful, the case gets wet unless it's far enough away from the water source. Be sure to wipe down the outside of the battery case after each use, the drain all the water from the hose, by lifting the pump and battery pack higher than the spray nozzle. Be sure to do this when storing, otherwise the hose will get slimy on the inside and smell moldy. I use this for showering, doing dishes, and washing the dog, but I am sure the uses are endless.
For the person who placed the batteries in wrong, there is a clear and easy picture right inside the case that tells you what direction the batteries go in. 3 batteries are close together and one is a bit separate. This is by far the best invention I have found for anyone bathing or needing running water, when away from home and this brand, is the best I have tried so far. I would think anyone who doesn't like it, must not know how to use it. I can't see how anyone would think this is inferior compared to the other crap on the market. I don't use this with the water heater, I heat water on my BBQ, or a microwave when available; the hose seems like it will last a long time; if not, it can easily be replaced. For the people who said their hose had cracks and they cut it shorter, I would think you'd tape it, (the water pressure isn't going to blow the tape off) unless you're in the middle of nowhere, and it's not an option. I explain why you might finds cuts in the hose, below.
It produces a fairly strong water flow (which lessens as batteries get weaker/ die). When the batteries wear down, and the flow is slower, it gives you more shower time, but it's more of low flow. When I am sudsing/washing hair/body, I place the shower head (where the water flows out of) back in the water source, so you don't lose that water (it just goes back into the water bucket). Then lift out to rinse off. You don't have to refill your water source this way.
My explanation might seem confusing, but makes sense as soon as you've used it. You'll feel as clean as when using an indoor shower, but don't expect it to turbo blast dirt off of you. You can use very warm water, or even drop this in a warm creek bed, for unlimited water. I put my water in a 5 gallon bucket the night before, so it can warm the water, by mid morning when the weather is nice. In one hour, when the weather is hot. That's only when I don't have a heat source. I also bought a five gallon water jug, so when I am near a hose, I can fill it for later. If you have a large pot, again, a campfire or bbq will heat your water. Heat only a gallon or two, three (depending on how hot you like a shower) to super hot/boiling, and add to cooler water.
I hope this helps, this is a superior product.
Just a small note, depending on the manufacturer for Zodi, the hose may come super flexible, soft and pliable, or firmer and more solid, less bendy. Some come in a box, some packaged in clear plastic. Both work the same, and both can be fitted for a new hose if the hose wears or cracks, which I can't imagine happening, unless left in the sun. The hosing can be purchased cut to order; so you can get a 30 foot hose if you wanted! The company that packages the softer hose, wraps bread tie wire around it a bit too tight, making little nicks in hose. Easy to tape, with any type of tape, if you think the cuts are deep enough to leak. Replacement hoses are found at any hardware store, just bring in the old one to get the right circumference at super cheap price. Just twist new hose onto each spigot end in a snap you're in business.
I could not live without this product, and thank Zodi for making something awesome. Don't waste your money on the optional Zodi water heater--too pricy, and melts everything; and is a lot to carry around. Even a one burner camp stove is better for heating water. Enjoy!

If there's an outage or flood where there's no running water, just fill up a bucket with room temp water (then put the ZODI pump into the bucket) and hop in the tub and wash yourself down.
Will never go without one of these again, would recommend this to anyone as a back up shower.
Other than that worked like a charm.
Using it in a cabin.
Muy buena presión de agua y suficiente para darse un baño rápido....
