Zojirushi Micom water boiler and warmer has a micro computerized temperature control and electric dispensing system. It has four keep warm temperature settings: 140, 175, 195, 208 degree F. This unit displays actual water temperature at all times. It is also has an energy saving timer function (6 - 10 hours) and automatically turns on the boiler at a later time to save electricity. Steam-save function automatically lowers the power just before boiling to reduce the amount of stem emitting from the steam vent. Cafe' drip dispensing mode decreases the amount of water dispensed to 60% of the normal setting, making it suitable for brewing cafe' drip coffee.

Rust on stainless part within 2 months of use is absolutely a defect of product. Zojirushi just refused to cover this with warranty and their customer service is NOT helpful at all.
Considering all the positive reviews, we paid high price for expectation of high quality product. We definitely will NOT recommend any friend to buy this product and also stay away from Zojirushi products considering their non-existing customer service.
The color was not as important as the price for me, but I feel it blends fairly well with my other appliances. It probably helps that I have no consistent color theme in my kitchen though. I've attached photos to show the color differences next to our mostly brown counter, our almond builder wall paint, our stainless steel and black toaster, and our black coffee maker. The Zojirushi water boiler is somewhere in between gray and brown.
Update: The water boiler is still going strong. I recently discovered that I am able to use the slow dispense option to make pour over coffee and have a cup at any time throughout the day. Love the convenience!
It lets you set the temperature to 4 different levels (160 to 212? defaults to 195). You can set it to have the water ready in 6-10 (12?) hours if you want it in the morning, or as soon as you come home.
Automatically shuts off if the water level is too low. The power connector has a quick disconnect feature so that if the cable were to be snagged the boiler wouldn't be tossed around. Another safety feature is that you need to press the unlock button before you can pour.
When you release the pour button it STOPS pouring. No drips!
Pleasant melody plays when the water is ready (you can mute this or go for a simple beep).
I appreciate that the water level viewer is stationed on the front, and the spiral lines make it easy to tell how much is left.
The only slight downside to this is you need to fill it up with water and they do not recommend placing it under a tap to do so, only by pouring from the top. Luckily I have it placed near my sink and can use the hose to fill it up.
Please note that this will steam when near completion. Like a pressure cooker or rice maker you should make sure that this isn't under a cupboard that could sustain water damage from the steam.
The magnetic plug is so convenient. It just pops on. No pushing at all. Also, the unit swivels too which is kinda cool. The color is nothing like the picture shows. It's more of a beige and cream. Very attractive. The dispenser is up high so you can put a very large mug underneath. Very convenient! There is a window on the front so you can watch the water level and fill when running low. There are three temp settings: 175, 195, and 208. The other thing I really like is the unlock feature. You have to push the unlock button before you can dispense the hot water. Very smart for households with small children who could burn themselves with the water. Another cute feature is the melody it plays when the water has heated up (whenever you fill it). It also has a timer so if you don't want to leave it plugged in overnight, you can set the timer and it will heat your water in the morning so it's ready when you get up. We use it for tea, oatmeal, instant coffee, hot chocolate, grits, etc. VERY VERY CONVENIENT!!! We love this machine! Not one negative complaint!
