Who doesn't like zombies?

Actually, I'm not a big zombie fan because it's been done to death (get it?).
In spite of that, William Stout provides me with one of my favorite calendars in years. From colored drawings to full paintings the art represented in this are fun, creepy and irreverent. This is not a gross-out horror collection, though some of the artworks have gory, drippy, bloody aspects to them. It's a fannish ode to zombies and the cultural fascination for the emaciated, walking dead and their search for ever more brains to devour.
It's more fun than it should be, but that's the nature of William Stout's incredible ability to depict such a subject as well and even as lovingly as only he can do.
I know one thing, after seeing one of the paintings in this collection I'll never look at the classic painting "American Gothic" in quite the same way ever again.

Zombie Fans must have this calendar

This calendar is illustrated by William Stout, famous for his creation in the 1985 cult classic Return of the Living Dead. That zombie is here, along with many other zombies like the Mona Lisa zombie and the hellbillies zombies. Each month comes with various facts about zombies and the artwork is incredibly detailed and colorful. This is another calendar that you should want to hang on your wall to remind you of what to look forward to when the zombie apocalypse arrives. Another must have calendar!
