Spelling mistakes, grammatical errors, and unbelievably lame dialogue make this book too painful to endure. What is a "Lugar"? Not a German pistol, that's for sure. The story at least starts out well, but I had to quit about 15% of the way through the book, when the urge to have one of the undead chew my eyeballs out became too strong to ignore...

Did anyone proofread this story? Multiple typos on a page often times. As far as the story goes, I prefer traditional non speaking zombies. Nevermind some of the things the authors have them doing. Laundry? Good God.

This is the story of a regular work day at the start of a zombie apocalypse. After getting a sample, I was hooked on the story. The zombies were really different. It still has the shambling zombies, but the story also contains "smart" zombies. Each time a zombie feeds it regenerates and gets stronger and smarter. Also some zombies had some pings of humanity. I do not usually like this in my stories. I usually really like the old fashion romero type zombies, but the author did a good job with it so it did work for me. Not bad for an independent book. This book really is in some bad need of editing! I would have given this story a much better rating if not for the mispellings and errors. It is so distracting.

Ok, I don't know if I like these zombies or not. Smart zombies? Plotting revenge? Don't see how we are going to have any humans left if they learn to coordinate with one another.
I like the storyline...and the characters. Max is your every man just wanting to get home and save his family. He picks up a few friends along the way...but Nancy....please let's lay her to rest soon! She is a nightmare!
This is really a fun book to read...

What could have been a brilliantly original take on the zombie genre is completely ruined by the lack of a proof-reader. Run-on sentences, grammar mistakes, elementary spelling errors, and the author's annoying habit of either sticking commas in where they're not needed, or omitting them where they are, ruin what the silly, stilted dialogue (getting paid-per-word, perhaps), and ridiculously cartoonish characters did not.

Still not sure how I feel about this book. It's worth it to read if your into Zombies. However, being the Zombie fan that I am I was not happy with the way the Zombies are written in this book. Zombie are suppose to be dumb and not super smart...they aren't suppose to talk or overpower you. I love The Walking Dead and the movie that got me hooked on Zombie's..2004 Dawn of the Dead....but this story is very unlike those shows and movies. I was disappointed and almost gave up but made it to the end..I just ordered the second book so there must be some "IT" in it for me. I want to read more before I past final judgement on the series.

The authors have created a very unique vision of a zombie apocalypse. Expect some gruesome scenes, bravery, terror, some tongue in cheek humor, but most unique of all, the zombies. The characters are deeply developed and a reader might become attached to them. This includes the zombies. Few author's bother to develop their zombies. After all, they are mindless creatures. Not so in this universe. No spoiling this story, not from this reader.

Cloud and Keleman have authored a fantastic tale. I urge fellow readers to check out "Outbreak". You may find yourself captivated and move d to read the rest of the trilogy.I am definately

This book was a little hard for me to get into but once I did and finished it, I immediately went on-line to the kindle store and bought the second one. The beginning is a little slow and it seems like it is going to be a normal crack the head zombie book but it is all that and more. There is a plan by the people that started the zombie outbreak and there are many twists and turns in the book. Buy this one and you will not be disappointed.
