Deneaux who seeks help and sanctuary from her most hated enemy after being captured brutalized. She takes her chances with Talbot even though she is not trusted and there is a subtle change in her that Talbot sees and cannot explain or deny. Too many things are happeniing that he instinctually knows but can't put his fnger on. Tommy is 'blind' to the same forces that brought him to Mike in the first place and is feels lost and uncertain for the first time since his sister was torn from him at a young age. Trip is having more lucid moments that are scaring the hell out of Mike. If that wasn't enough to heap on his plate, BT is captured by Knox, a fanatical would be world dictator, and forced to cage fight against men and Z's. It is here that we learn the true strength of the man we know so little about and Tufo graces us with a small peek at what the big man endured before meeting Talbot(more please, we can never have enough of BT). The fights against the Z's are becoming more intense as they appear to be evolving, becoming more self aware, communicating on some rudimentary level and can use their 'ping' to root out prey. Tufo's ability to place the reader in the middle of the action(there are two notable scenarios) is uncanny and will leave you exhausted. Caution: Do not read or listen to it before bedtime, you will not be able to stop reading or listening to it. Yeah it's that good, not surprising and exactly what we expect from the author. And to make it just that much more interesting, there is a nugget of information at the beginning of the book that should have everyone that is a true Tufo/Talbot fan thinking...did I say just one...silly me
I have all of these on audio book as well and they are a great listen. Sean Runnette is the narrator and he does a fantastic job. Honestly I think he is perfect for Mark's books and we are so lucky to have him.
Like what happens with Payne, Knox. What brought all the ships. Do they make it to the destination. So many things are left unknown it's nerve raking.
Top international reviews
If you had asked me prior to entering this world I would have said keeping people on board for a 10 book series just wasn't possible but Mark has proved me wrong.
This series is one you will want to read again and again. I am waiting with baited breath for the next episode.
Mark Tufo is one hell of a writer, I don't know what goes on in his mind but I bet it's fun. Any and Every Zombie fan MUST read this collection of books. I love zombie books, I have read more than I can count and I put Zombie Fallout way WAY above all the rest.
Pick up book number 1 and you'll be here at the end of number 10 writing a brilliant review and leaving 5 stars.
Thank you Mr Tufo... Can't wait for the next one... Please tell me there is a next one??
I have read the entire series more than once and listened on audible too!
I recommend this book and the whole series as the best zombie series ever.
Only thing i would say is - let's have more tommy dialogue in the next, i missed him and his endless supply of oddly flavoured poptarts
It's amazing how Mark Tufo is able to write in a way that makes you relate to all the characters weather male or female. It left me on tender hooks waiting to find out what Mike has to do next. The Zombies appear to be getting smarter which makes the read even more intense and leaves you wondering how he is going to get out of this next situation.
I loved how there are tie ins to Marks other books.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves this genre and loves to be taken away from reality.
The Talbots are on the move again to find their utopia, with lots of blockades to slow their progress.
Still the great characters that we have grown to love over the series with the usual great banter between Mike and BT, and lots of zombies.
Fantastic read 20/10
If you've not read any of this series and your a zed head....get to it...Mark Tufo never disappoints!
There was not an exactly happy ending or a idea on wether the story continues.
But I will continue to follow Mike's new journeys in the next books th hat mark has written about the great Mike Talbot.
One of the best writers I know! 10/10
Loved TWD reference!!!!!!
Just hate having to wait so long for the books.
