A terrorist detonates a dirty bomb in the heart of a densely-populated city, unleashing a gruesome zombie plague that spreads like wildfire. Sarah's father was bleeding out, and she knew he would die if she didn't get him to a hospital fast. The scene that greets them on arrival is one of chaos. The floor, awash with blood, is covered with the bodies of the dying and injured, doctors dart back and forth, clearly overwhelmed. Sarah stumbles back and her world fades to black. Upon regaining consciousness she is greeted by the uneasy silence of a seemingly deserted building....

I liked the fact that they had old fashioned slow zombies; I had to accept the fast "infected" because they are the majority now, though oddly, there are actually "infected" from a dirty bomb. It also takes place in Leicester, right in the middle of England, and the British usually do decent genre films, though some of their zombie films have been pretty lame. The technical aspects of the film were decent. It looked like a real film and not something shot by teenagers with a phone. It started off okay for the first ten minutes. It only lacked direction, acting and a script. all of those failed. The director knew nothing about pace or suspense and let the actors just stand around talking for long periods of time. the script used virtually every cliche in the genre, even the "We must look everywhere in this zombie filled building to find my grandson!" (Really). The script such as it was, just let the characters say dumb things to each other while waiting to be eaten one by one. The characters were written as such stupid people that you lost any concern for them. The actors seemed to be locals who had never acted before and this also led to a "Who cares" attitude.
If you are really desperate for a zombie film I guess this might do. Otherwise avoid it or watch it while you're online doing something else because it's really too boring to hold your full attention.
I followed the movie, but halfway thru it was bored,
I've seen better and I've seen worse!
If you are an avid collector as I am buying this movie for your collection is a smart decision, however if you're picking a zombie movie to watch and this happens to be one you may have to pick, well my suggestion is the other one.
The movie has plenty of chapter possibilities, like the grandson we never see, or find out what happens to him. Or the doctor who could have provided so much more content, but seemed stoned on something and was somehow instantly killed by a surprise zombie.
I was surprised that the movie went on to show scenes of the city after the farm event, and I think less time could have been spent on the ambulance driver,(who needs more practice as an actor), and more time spent on story development.
Overall, not too bad.
