It includes a one liter bottle and all the necessary fittings. It also features a no-spill" valve making it easy to remove and refill the water bottle. Use the Reptile Foggerâ in conjunction with Zoo Meds HygroThermâ Humidity and Temperature Controller for precise humidity and temperature control." Troubleshooting: The fogger will not come on unless the base is full and the safety shut-off float is floating. When people talk about the fogger turning on and off, usually there hasn’t been enough water released from the bottle (maybe the no spill valve is stuck or something) and the float is on the cusp of being too low. We have had a few problems (a while ago, but this may be older stock?) with the rheostat (the part that turns the fog production down). To remedy this, we suggest that the customer enact the 90 day warranty on the Fogger for a replacement.

Can I leave zero stars? I've purchased a number of these over the years and absolutely do not expect them to last more than a year. For the price, that's worth it to me. But the last three I've purchased are absolute junk. I bought one a month ago and realized shortly thereafter it wasn't working. I blamed it on the timer we had it plugged into but the one that arrived today also doesn't work - and we bypassed the timer. The motor doesn't run although the blue light is on. I really wish it worked as the gecko loves the mist. Zoo Med Laboratories - Someone needs to do some quality control checking. You are selling junk and Youve lost a customer.

I read a lot of the reviews before buying this. I also bought the multiport attachment. The biggest complaint for both items is that the tubes get filled with water and stop working. Height plays a big part in this problem. The main line has to go higher than the unit itself and if you have the multiport extension, I suggest going as high as you can. I got some basic greenhouse misting open/close valves and attached it to the multiport so i can direct the fogger wherever I want it to go. I can fog as many tanks as I want by just opening one valve and closing another. It also works fine with all three running. I do get condensation in the tubes but I just tap them a bit and the extra water, which isn't a ton, goes in the tank. You could also take the hoses off and empty them in the sink. Another issue i saw some people had was that the fogger fills the tank with fog. There is no timer. I run mine for 30 minutes every other day. I set a timer on my phone so I don't forget it's on. Yes it is a little extra work but if you have an animal that needs this, you already knew they required more than just a heat lamp and a bowl of water. This unit is not meant to stay on for hours. If you want something that runs constantly you need a unit that detects humidity and turns on and off as needed. This is not meant to keep a tank at a specific humidity for you. My snakes love when I run it. I also mist them everyday with a fine mist spray bottle. For the money, I think the unit is a great deal. My only complaint is that the cord is a little short. It is a standard length I guess but for my set up it was a bit short. Overall I am very happy with it.

I have used this product for very many years for various critters. It does produce a lovely thick mist that you can direct where you want. Issues: even with regular cleaning the unit stops working after a year of use. The sonic disk gets destroyed by minerals from the water. Sometimes the unit can be loud, and we had to tape over the “on” light because it was literally lighting up our room at night. I also wish that the control was a little more advanced, maybe offering intermittent or timed use, I always managed this with a separate timer/control pług. Other than the disc wearing, I have also had frequent issues with the fan not working, several times I called the manufacturer and they sent me a new fan, which I installed, and the manufacturer did say this happens frequently. My last reptile who needed this fogger passed away last year, so I don’t use this any more, but I did literally buy a new one once a year despite regular cleaning. I found the Amazon price to be comparable with buying this at a reptile expo.

Decent misting device, with one main flaw.

I have been using this mister for nearly five years, at about 8 hours per day. The device itself is fine, but they use cheap PC (computer) fans, which eventually die. I have had to replace the fan about every 12-18 months. Zoo Med has always sent me a new fan at no charge on request, but I bought two from Amazon just to have spares on hand (less than $5 each).

I have the unit mounted above my chameleon's enclosure, with the mist tube hanging down onto the screen making the enclosure's top side. Water accumulates on the screen, and drips down into the enclosure. I put a pothos plant inside the enclosure directly under the mist tube to catch the excess water.

I check the "intensity" setting dial daily; once every few weeks it seems to change on its own - probably due to vibration. All in all I've been very happy with this mister, but do expect to have to change the fan at some point (take 4 screws off the bottom of the unit, pop out old fan, plug in new one --- note orientation of the original fan so the new one blows mist OUT the tube, and not just around inside the housing).

I don't know what is wrong with me but I keep hoping to get one that works longer than a few months. Just ordered my 4th, yes FOURTH one of these. I wouldn't do it but I can't seem to find any other humidifier that is the right size to work with my Terrarium set up. I use distilled water in the humidifier. Humidifier #1 lasted 8 months then the motor just stopped running. Humidifier #2 last 2 months and same problem, it just stopped running. Humidifier #3, which I just received a couple of weeks ago, cannot be controlled with the Low to High output control. It just goes like crazy! More than full blast. I'll fill up the reservoir bottle, set the knob to the lowest setting and within 3 hours it will be completely empty and the terrarium is so full of thick fog I can't see into it and everything inside is drenched. Just ordered #4. Isn't the definition of insanity repeating the same thing over and over expecting a different outcome? That's me. If anyone has any suggestions on a humidifier that is small like this one and the water lasts a few days, I would love to know about it. .

My baby bearded got a respiratory infection. I was using this to help him breathe. We would filter the water with medicine into a cricket keeper covered with a towel for 20 minutes a day. It seemed to really help! HOWEVER...one day, while he was getting the treatment, I went to check on him and nothing was dogged up. I checked everything!!! Wires, water, outlets, plug.... it just quit working! I only used it about 7 times :(

OK, the item itself gets 5 stars - it works fantastically and the Geckos love it, the one I bought from Amazon Prime would only get 1 star though, it had a European plug and didn't work properly so went straight back (I have my suspicions it wasn't made by the proper manufacturer - I bought another one from Pets At Home; the build quality was visibly better between the 2 and the one from Pets at Home worked straight away and it was only marginally more expensive!)
Despite the fact that the one from Amazon didn't work and would get 1 star, provided you can get hold of the real thing it's a great product and I'd give it 6 stars if I could! (I think it's unfair to give a good product a bad review when the one I have now works really well) Mine is set to come on 4 times a day for 15 mins each time, bottle seems to last 5 days + at that rate

Reptifogger arrived quickly and works brilliantly. It would be even better if it screwed together so it didn't fall apart when moving it, spilling water everywhere, but I can live with that. Note it is really hard to buy distilled water in the UK- Boots sent us to Waitrose who sold us deionised water which turned out to have biocides in it- not good for animal consumption! Freezer ice is distilled, but our freezer isn't clean enough to use that on a sick snake, so I ended up buying a distiller too. The repti fogger worked well in the meantime with lidl spring water (not mineral water).
