I just received these bulbs in the mail today so I can't really speak to there long-term use. I thought I would share a couple of my initial impressions. I will update this review in a few months.
These bulbs seem to have very good build quality. They have a nice sized heat sync and seem very sturdy. They have two tubes that come out of the base and loop back around to the base in a square-shaped pattern.
They light they produce seems to be right at or near 65500k - which is what you want for plants. However, I don't think they are bright enough to grow any but the lowest of light requring plants (anubias and java fern). My main complaint with them and the main reason I gave them four stars is that they are not that bright. At 10W they are no where near as bright as the 13w 6500k CFL bulbs I purchased at Menards. They are ok for non-planted tanks or a few low light species tho.
The main reason you would get this (and the reason I got them) is to got in a fixture that cannot fit the normal twisted CFL bulbs. I purchased these for a friend's tank that was purchased at walmart. The hood has two incandescent screw-type sockets with a splash guard over them. They space between the sockets and the splash guard is too tight to fit a traditional screw-typ CFL. These bulbs work great in this application and are much better than any normal incandescent you could use.
Updates to come.

It says on the bulb "REPLACE YEARLY". First use date is 2/19/16. Today is 4/12/16. So you mean to say that it is good for 2 months? That's really sad!Published 4 months ago by slave friedemann Schaefer
Poor performance. I purchased this on December 24, and it died by April 1. I don't recommend this for a fish tank.Published 4 months ago by D. Pimentel
