The arrows were durable even after shooting them for many practice sessions and the tips remained intact. The arrows did fine shooting into my target (I shoot into newspaper-filled boxes) for repeated practice sessions. Yet, I would've preferred the nocks to not be glued in, as I like to make adjustments and accidents can occur causing nocks to break off in the shafts instead of just slipping out. The easy solution for most any hollow arrow is to use a steel rod from a hardware store, feed it through the insert that holds the arrow head, and tap it with a hammer to remove the nock. Also, I like the nocks unglued because I want to easily replace some of them with lighted nocks for night use.
Since I was considering buying more, I did try some extreme testing of the arrows, I shot them into a solid rock wall at point blank range with my compound bow. Of course, this is an extremely harsh test that destroys most arrows regardless of the manufacturer, but I wanted to test them thoroughly before ordering several dozen more. Half the shafts survived slamming into rock with the point inserts coming out due to the extreme rebound force off of the stone. One shot hit the mortar instead of stone and penetrated 5" into the mortar with the shaft remaining intact. The shafts take a beating and I don't expect to have any problem with their durability.
After finding them accurate with my broad heads, I intend to use them for hunting as well as practice, since shooting the same arrows with practice and hunting is preferred if you want to have confidence in your equipment when it counts.
I'm shooting a Matthews compound hunting bow and need a stiffer arrow. Customer service is really helpful and went out of their way to address concerns. As stated in the description, the arrows are intended for use with recurves and longbows, but I contacted them and they helped me find a solution anyway.
I find these arrows to be attractive, very functional, and a great value. As a result, I will be ordering several more sets so that I can use these as my primary practice arrow. I have confidence in these arrows and in the customer service and ended up buying a total of 4 orders of 12 in addition to the initial 6 that I first ordered to try them out.
