I got to say i was really surprised how well built this was. When tightened onto my V20, it really held on tight. No wobbles or anything. The tripod thread on the bottom works as it supposed to and felt incredible sturdy when on a mount (i was using a hand held stabilizer). The cold shoe on top is made of the hard plastic so don't put too much pressure on it, a rode's mic will work, an LED lighting works well.
This is a solid buy for someone that wants to film with their phone or even want to shake less when composing a photo because you are holding the phone with your fingertips.
It has one major design flaw though. When you loosen the set screw in the back, the internal spring makes the upper clamp shoot out. You would think it would be the other way around where the spring keeps the upper clamp under tension to provide a solid grip on your phone. That's how many phone mounts for cars are designed.
You really have to squeeze the two clamps together and then tighten the set screw to get a good grip and even after that, I'm still able to wiggle my phone out. Makes me a little nervous
