This replace one that expanded during a freeze (in Arizona no less). I know they sell parts, but I wish they weren't so costly. I put a reminder to flush the line around November to prevent this from happening again.

I have a very old sprinkler system that came with the house. When the old pressure breaker started to leak, I got a repair kit. It lasted for a season and stated to leak again the next. Compared to what I had before, this looks really big.
As soon as I started using it I will hear a very loud whine and considerable water dripping. I checked for air in the system to no avail. With the sprinklers usually starting at 4am the noise was a no go. I had planned to upgrade my timer so I did that and to my surprise the noise is gone and no water drips. I have a master valve before the bfp and a six zone manifold after. I am guessing it had to do with the way valves are opened but cant really tell.
If you do your own winterization, the check valves fit standard air compressor fittings.

Ahhh, if I had only drained the system...
I had it insulated, but that didn't matter.

If you see the top cracked, you can be sure that it is going to drip from now on.
Get 2 Shark fittings and you're done in no time.

Be careful of your pipe diameter when ordering.

Great replacement (in fact exact sizing) for my previous Zurn valve, so there was no need for extension redo of the irrigation lines. Much better pricing here than at local big box store or even local irrigation distributor. This product seems very well made and hopefully will last quite a while, but I am suspect about the rubber gasket on top as well as the handles on the valves (I think they are subject to rusting).

Good luck!

Seems like a good quality item and at a price significantly lower than the local big box hardware stores. I used this to replace an older unit that faced the wrong way (with the shutoff valves against the wall of the house). This one, in the same location, has the drain/shutoff valves facing away from the house where they're easier to get at. Very pleased. No complaints so far.

Worked fine right out of the box. I had purchase a similar it from Home Depot which broke as soon as I tried to turn the valves. Returned that one and purchased this replacement. I had no problems installing it and every thing work as expected - plus no more leaks so I am saving water!

I purchased this to replace mmy Flomatic Model PVB that is no longer manufactured. This is as close to a perfect match as possible. Better than the original one, the valves are on the opposite side which now puts them outward and not against my house's siding making them easier to access. Construction is excellent and installation was easy, operation was fine. Cost was $35.00 less than at the two large box stores and they had to order it and it would have taken 2 weeks. Ordered it on Amazon and got it the same day for free.

I bought this because it was way more affordable than going to home depot or lowes or ace or (insert store here) and it's very easy to install. I had zero experience with sprinkler watering systems until now, but now I am a self proclaimed expert.
so with this product... After years of struggling to keep my grass watered and striving to have my yard look better than the neighbors I decided to carve in 400+' of sprinkler line and 4 zones.
I made everything up to my connection on both side where this backflow valve connects, it was so simple to install my 9 year old did most of it because she needs to do something on her time on summer vacation right?.
Our water district require annual inspections and an inspection upon installation. It passed inspection full of complements and praise (no joke, I guess there are a lot of really "really terrible installations out there). The inspector said this brand was top notch . I didn't know when purchasing it, I just wanted to save $35-$40 at the time, that's a nice bonus to hear though right?

The only negative is that I have too much extra time on my hands because I don't have to worry about watering a lawn with a flawless automatic watering system. What do I do now? You guys should send me on an annual vacation as compensation for having to deal with all this extra time
