Terrible router

This router has a large quantity of small bugs that make it overall useless.

I turn off the power to my computer and and related devices when I got to bed. I do not turn them back on until I get home from work the next day. Getting this router to obtain an IP address from my ISP usually requires 5+ restarts. I had to put this router on a whole different power switch because of that.

the port forwarding has an option to select a device from a drop down menu. Problem? It doesn't actually list any devices. It claims nothing is connected.

When you check the device status in the admin page, It says the Ip addresses leased out. Problem? According to this router with the latest firmware released, the IP addresses aren't actually leased to any devices and they are in fact always 100% disconnected.

The wireless strength is Poor at best. The 2.4 GHz constantly provides a much better connection than the 5 GHz. I did bandwidth tests from both the bedrooms on the second floor.

Having more than 3 or 4 devices brings this router to a grinding halt. The first time I had a party at my house, I turned off the security so my friends could use my wifi and I didn't have to tell a dozen people the password. Well... that was a bad idea. Having more than a few devices connected makes this router blatantly stop functioning in every way. I couldn't even log on to the admin page through my wired connection.

Logging on as admin is another issue. Jeez does it take forever just to ask me for my log on credentials.

Every feature I have tried using on this router has been flawed in enough of a way that I find it useless and annoying.

I used to really like how well ZyXel products worked. My old router never had any issues at all. I always had a strong wireless connection with my old router. I never had any problems of any kind. ZyXel has really gone down hill. My next router will most definitely not be the same brand.

Any reviewer giving this product 5 stars clearly has not tried using a majority of the settings on this router.

Range is terrible - actually worse than my old Netgear basic N router. Goes in and out and even drops connection at times... Sometimes its fast, for an hour or so, or picks up at further distances, but you cant have a router that is unreliable. Look elsewhere.

Worst router I've ever used. Normally, there's a decent drop from the wired to wireless speed, but with this you only get 1/3 of what you'd get wired. I've tried every channel. If you plug in one wired device (a Roku in my case), you get zero bandwidth on any other device.
