Nancy Collins is a citizen scientist who only studies tree crickets. She has co-authored several scientific journal articles describing new species of tree crickets. Her website, www.oecanthinae.com, includes many pages of information about these small bugs that are often heard but seldom known. Her mission is to increase awareness of these fascinating little insects, and she hopes to inspire young people to pursue careers in entomology or to make scientific contributions as citizen scientists.
