I had TWO pairs of these and BOTH pairs squeak like mice on acid.
The only reason I am giving it 2 stars (instead of say 1) is that Adidas honors their waterproof guarantee. But come on, who wants to go to the store every time you play in the rain to exchange it for a new one right?
I talked to my assistant pro at my club and he said he has heard numerous complaints about this too.
I create a lot of torque with a strong swing and lots of rotation and I cannot manage to get these to slip, even on the wettest mornings these keep me planted well in any condition.
I have walked over 200 holes of golf in these and played at least 100 in a cart with them and they are still just as comfortable as the day I got them. The insole and the boost material are too thank for this. I refuse to get any other golf show ever again.
The only concern to keep in mind are minor annoyances I have. These collect grass like crazy, especially in damp conditions. It can make walking on bridges a little slippery when this happens, but is easy to remove. The other issue is the space right under the arch tends to collect grass which is tricky to remove unless it is dry. It has successfully dried in the shoe and falls out in the trunk of my car, but I can handle that minor inconveniencefor the amazing performance out of these shoes. Highly recommend to anyone.
I'm a shoe man by trade. By that I'm saying I understand shoe construction a little bit. The last that most Adidas shoes are built on fit me well so I've had several pair of this brand. The Tour 360 I've always been a little leery of the seemingly lack of support (beyond the footbed insert ) under the arch. For that reason, and the >$200 tag, I've always passed on this shoe.
Having tried them on in a local shoe, and seeing them at this closeout price I thought they were worth the risk. I've played 2 rounds in them and so far, they are very good. It was a wet morning, and dried out as the round progressed, in both ground conditions, you really could feel like you are planted on the instep of the rear foot at the top of the back swing. Not a hint of moisture...after the round I popped my cedar shoe trees in them...played the next day, they were even better. My Garmin watch credited me with over 11,000+ steps on the 1st round and the out of the box comfort was ideal...I never once thought I was wearing new golf shoes.
