Good upgrade over the Samba, but gives me blisters on my heel and achilles.
on March 8, 2015
These are like Sambas but a minor upgrade in performance/looks and break in time. The price is right too. The leather upper starts out softer new and breaks in a little quicker, the sole has a built in flex (the Samba is a single piece) and feels more responsive on the court. The downside is if I don't tie them very firmly, my heel slips and I get a blister from rubbing on the heel tab/collar. It's not an issue with the Samba as the heel tab is not as tall. I'm going to keep wearing them til they're fully broken in, if I can come up with a way to reduce the blisters, I'll revisit this review. Unfortunately I can give it only 3 stars because of the blisters, as it would be a four without.
