I like them because they are light weight, fit nicely and of course by their nature they are so cool and ventilated.
They are comfortable, fit well, drain quickly, dry quickly, look pretty good, and are lighter than a bag of bricks.
They fit true to size and are comfortable even after long walks.

I'm an avid river rafter and Sambas wearer. I was shopping for a solid water shoe after every flip flop, sandle and aqua sock (even those fancy brands)had either flat out failed, or failed to impress me. I came across these on an random internet search and HAD to have them, not only do they have the stylish Adidas look (I have been wearing Sambas, and only Sambas for years now so of course I ordered mine in black and white) but the sole design looked brilliant! Usually a good old tennis shoe works the best for walking on wet and rocky terrain, but get soggy and heavy making swimming difficult, and forget about ever wearing them again. These boat shoes are the PERFECT answer! I get lots of complements on them cause they look cool, but best of all I can charge rocky river bottoms, sand and muck! I have snorkeled in them and they are great for roaming the reef too. They aren't too heavy, or clumsy for swimming in, and no mater what my water adventure I can stroll ashore and hit the road, boardwalk, or town without changing my shoes. They drain and dry quick and extremely comfortable!

I bought 2 pairs of these for my husband and I prior to our trip to Thailand. We had many outdoor all day water activities planned and both wanted a shoe of higher quality and cooler looking than those cheap lame water socks that we've always bought for our adventures before which usually only last a week. While adidas makes a similar water shoe for women, I wanted a shoe with more coverage that would lace all the way up that I could wear with an ankle sock. The womens version isn't suited for that. I bought the lime green ones for me and they looked cute and not too masculine at all. I wear a size 8.5 in womens and ordered the size 7M. They are slightly long but I didn't have time to send them back and try the next size down before the trip. Width wise they fit perfect and they weren't huge so I kept them and they actually worked great! We ordered the same size for my husband that he wears in regular, non-water, adidas shoes and they fit perfectly.

    What we love about them:

    - Comfortable right out of the box, with or without socks!
    - Look WAY cooler than 99% of water shoes I've ever seen
    - Quality construction! These are made very well and held up to all the different activities we used them for!
    - Laces stay tied
    - Really good grip on the soles, which was unexpected
    - Quick draining/quick drying
    - Not just for water! These are comfortable and functional enough (and nice looking enough) that we will use these for all sorts of dry outdoor activities when it's hot like lawn mowing, gardening etc.

    Cons:
    - Really the only drawback I can think of is that if you're walking in sand or mud, it WILL get up into the shoe through the holes in the bottom and once sand and dirt gets into the shoe, it's really hard to get out.

These are the greatest water shoes ever... let's do pros and cons.

    PROS
You don't look like a dork wearing water shoes when you're in public... they look like regular sneakers. Nobody has beaten me up in these.

The bottoms are open, so water comes right out, you're not walking around with solid soles lifting 5 pounds of water with every step

You look all cool and rebellious when you walk into water with what looks like shoes on.

    CONS

They aren't exactly plush comfy shoes... after a day at the water park, or on the beach, and your feet are kind of happy to get out of them... but they're water shoes dammit, not soft frilly slippers.... suck it up, buttercup.

Water park life guards might call you out for wearing sneakers in the pool... and you have to show them that it's really okay.

People think they're so awesome when you show them that they're for the water that they say "Where'd you get them? How much were they?" and I can't remember that much stuff... I tell them to check Amazon.

so many women flock you when they see them, that it can be a drowning hazard.

Have owned these about a year and used them in Costa Rica and Hawaii for everything from hiking, swimming, or just walking around town. They're nice because they're comfortable, somewhat stylish (you don't look like you're wandering around in watershoes everywhere), and durable. They dry really fast too when they're wet.

The only thing I noticed is that when you add in the moisture and you're using it barefooted you may irritate your feet or develop blisters - I usually just wore an athletic sock with them (like a Dri-Fit running sock) that dries fast too.

These shoes were exactly what I have been looking for. I'm a photographer who actively explores the coasts, rivers, streams, waterfalls, and pretty much anywhere water is moving. I climb up slick angled concrete, walk on algae covered rocks, I spend extended periods in rivers, I walk on shorelines. Sometimes I wade 20ft out into the Pacific ocean to get the shot I want. These shoes keep my feet snug and actually warm! The Pacific rarely gets above 45 F where I go; mountain streams contain snow peak run off, ETC. Water is usually cold...

I was hesitant to buy these, as some reviews have noted that they do not keep sand out. I have not had any issues with Pacific or river sand. I notice that after I take them off, I can see some sand bouncing around inside the shoe, but my feet would never know!

I know these are for boats, but they have loads of traction. They were a little stiff for the first day, and there is little to no padding on the rubber sole, but they absorb shock decently by design; the soles have a decent thickness to them. There are holes in the soles, so you do have to be careful when walking on spiky or jagged surfaces, but I have yet to encounter an issue. I also wear these shoes when I go shore or river fishing.
