For me, these boxer briefs were great for wicking moisture away, but failed on the other two counts. The fit is great at first, but then I feel like I'm constantly tugging on them to keep them from riding up. Perhaps the two pairs I got were thongs in a former life?! More likely, it may have something to do my larger-than-average size legs, and the fact that these boxer briefs are relatively short. Too short, as it turns out, to keep my thighs from chafing on very long workouts.
I so wish I were one of the lucky many who've had a great experience with these. For me, they are simply unusable... doomed to stay hidden on the bottom of the drawer until I get over the fact that they're practiclly new, and toss them.
These Adidas ones were much more expensive than his others but being that you usually get what you pay for and reviewers mentioned longevity, I was sold!
I ordered a size Large, per their sizing info for 36-38 waist, which is his sizing precisely, and he is quite happy with the fit. Might I add, my husband is pretty picky about how he likes things to fit and feel, lol. A couple reviews had me concerned on size but no issues at all for us.
Now, he doesn't work out, aside from occasional medical bed deliveries when he's on call, he has an office job most of the month. He doesn't have any odor or sweating issues either. I thought the odor resistance and fabric to help keep him dry, etc would just all be nice during the summer months, comfort wise. But that's not why I was willing to spend the extra dough...
I read reviews about briefs that loosen into shorts (then ride up) by day's end and that sounded like how my husband's look, lol. Seams coming out here and there, elastics looking all worn, and under a year. This is what I was hoping to avoid.
For reference, my husband is 6 ft tall, about 240 lb and wears an XXL shirt. No woman wants her man's drawers looking all sad. These look and feel like quality (that he deserves) and will definitely hold up much longer and better than others he's owned!
They wash up fine so far and definitely seem well made. Will update this review later down the road regarding how they hold up but I'm doubtful we'll soon have any issues. Smile. Buy with confidence. Hope this is helpful.
When your wife / girlfriend decided it would be a great day to go to the zoo or wonder the strip mall for 4 hours.
You pull up the weather for that Saturday and see it's going to be 90* sunny with a 100% chance of swamp ass. No one wants cotton briefs that are gonna hold all the sweat and heat.
These keep me cool, supported, and dry quick.
This is one of the few products I've found for preventing what we call in Louisiana "Swamp Ass." When you are afraid to wear khaki shorts because you know you'll have a wet spot between your legs from sweating.
These do a great job of keeping you cool and allowing your personal area to vent and stay dry while preventing any moisture from transferring to your shorts or pants.
They are comfortable and have held up well. I've owned them over a year and there's no stray threads or torn seams. They are easy to move around in and have plenty of area for your guy parts while keeping them tucked away securely.
I recently got back into exercising after a long period of relative inactivity and decided to buy some nice underwear for running. I'm glad I found these. I liked them so much I bought a second pair.
I was worried the trunks would ride up too much. They ride up a little I guess, but it's not noticeable while running, and the fabric is so thin and comfortable anyway that it's not a big deal. (edit/update/clarification: when I say they ride up a little, I mean just on the legs; no wedgie problems with this underwear in my experience.)
The crotch area is very comfortable.
I love that there's no fly opening.
The fabric is excellent. The feel, elasticity, just perfect.
I firmly believe you will not regret buying this.
