i purchaced this gun from bucketcart over a month ago, it took it two weeks to get here eventhough it was a five day waiting period, i opened the box and it was the wrong gun. i ordered a jg m16a1 and the sent me an a2, the magazine was the 300rd mag instead ofnthe proper 180rg mag, then i went out to shoot it and it wouldnt shoot, so i looked at the mag and it wasnt loading bbs into the gun, so i took the mag apart and found that there was no spring in it. then i contacted bucketcart to see what they could do, they told me to take pictures of the gun and e-mail them, so i did and there was no reply so i recent them a week later and again no reply. finly they replied and said they recieved no pictures of the gun so i resent them and again no reply and i sent them another email asking them if they got the pictures and they replied saying no they did not. i am not giving a bad review of the gun, i am giving a review of bucketcart, so i am telling you DON'T PURCHASE ANY AIRSOFT GUNS FROM THESE PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!

Not Vietnam period correct!

First off, I DO NOT own this rifle. Judging by the pictures, it is NOT as advertised. It should not be advertised as a "Vietnam M16." First error is the A2 style rear sight, which was not developed until at least the 1980s. The pistol grip is also modeled after the version found on the A2. Can't tell for sure, but the carrying handle also appears to be detachable, which was definitely not the case on 'Nam M16's. Another thing is the empty cartridge deflector, which is basically a small outcropping built into the A2 model (just after the ejection port) so that hot brass wouldn't be thrown into the face of left-handed shooters.(not really a concern for airsoft, but it's on here anyway!) What IS correct is the short 20-round magazine and the triangular forestock; if you weren't really all that concerned about being "Vietnam correct," it could probably pass for you from a distance. Don't get me wrong: JG makes excellent airsoft rifles, and I'm sure this performs up to that standard, but if you are really looking for a "Vietnam rifle" you might want to try something else!
