I bought this protector for my iPad3, or the new iPad. I had some antiglare(matte) ones left over from my iPad 2 but they just knocked the screen quality way down. So I decided to try out a clear one to take advantage of that nice new screen.
I do have to say that this was one of the harder protectors to install but one of the easiest to finish. I had quite a hard time lining it up, due to the studiness of the plastic, but once that was done the few bubble came out with ease. The couple that were left also disappeared the next day (first time I've seen that happen with these things).
Once installed, it looked very nice. It is virtually invisible. It does have sort a polarized (like looking through good sunglasses) look to it when the backlight is off. But once the screen is on, all you see is the nice Retina display! The protect is much thicker and more sturdy than the antiglare one that I've installed in the past. My stylus does not glide smoothly across it at this point. Is it too new or just the nature of this protector??? It only appears to be marginally better than the original surface in regards to fingerprints and it wipes clean in a flash.
In conclusion, I would recommend this to anyone looking for a clear, albeit, invisible screen protector for their iPad.

Premium screen cover for a budget price! Don't over spend on others!

You'll read a lot of articles that say iPad's Gorilla glass is scratch resistant. I will agree to an extent. Only after owning my iPad 3 (AKA the new iPad) for few months I began noticing hairline scratches when the screen was off. While it did not take away from the screen quality when the iPad was in use it was annoying to see when the tablet was off. The amFilm sets the bar high when it comes to screen protectors. I've used quite a few different screen protectors on my iPhone and wanted to purchase the SGP Ultra Crystal for the iPad as I did for my iPhone but at over $20 I couldn't get myself make the purchase. SO then began the search and finding amFilm on Amazon. I took the plunge and decided to try the cheaper option first and glad I did. It was rather easy to install and I did it in the bath room with shower on to keep dust particles low. Bubbles were little bit harder to remove than say iPhone since it's a larger area. I used a new hinge method to apply the screen protector to get it perfectly lined up. The touch and feel on the protector is great. The feel is very smooth just like glass. I applied it and never told my wife whom use the iPad the most so with that said I do highly recommend this screen protector, if you are lucky and can get it for less than $9.99 it's a steal! I guess time will tell how this holds up to scratching and with 2 in pack you can replace the first with 2nd after some time, please see my pictures!Installation tips:Do installation in the bathroom door closed with shower on hot.Make sure hands are clean and never touch side labeled 1 that touches the iPad screenUse tape to remove any dust trapped if you see themUse the new hinge method for install.
