Does anyone know if you can set these to gaming mode? Eg. L-L and R-R so that you can play splitscreen games with two people on a single screen?

I would say no, there is no switch on them and knowing how they interpret 3D (the TV has 2 pictures, speeds up the single and each lense views one of the 2 pictures) there would be no way for them to split 2 images on 1 lense. Something additional would be needed.

If the system you input has split screen then this unit will display it. The Viera provides for gaming. It does not have picture in a picture nor is 3-D. If you are using a PC there is a USB input along with standard input.
