Only warm, not terribly hot. It remains stable on the counter. It's very loud. It's an 800 watt machine -- I was told to buy 700 watt or above in order to get the power. I don't know rpm's and I checked the user manual and it doesn't say in there either. Hope this helps.
I didn't notice it getting hot--it does remain stable. But if you want a good juicer I recommend a Breville. The HB is just not that good & the materials are flimsy--& when you take the shredder disk out--you will find even MORE to clean up. I had it all for about an hour & took it back. I didn't buy it through Amazon
My machine has never gotten hot. For the most part it is stable on the counter, it does have a strong vibration system so i can't say if it will move on another surface.
Mine vibrates across the counter top. You have to hold onto it to keep it from moving away from the cup under the spout. I have had a different brand that didn't have the problem. It doesn't get hot but it is extremely loud.
We have had no problem at all with it getting hot.. as far as stable is concerned....I do recommend that you hold onto the thing when it's starts...lol. it's loud. And it WILL move about. We use ours almost everyday .. Worth it...We are really happy, we joke about the noise of it though......we use ours primarily for juicing....
