This monitor as a single USB-C port for connecting to my MacBook Pro to provide both a 4k Video connection and a PD charging connection. I needed a couple of USB 3.0 ports and the LG monitor only provides USB 2.0 ports. When docking I wanted to only have to connect one thing to my MacBook Pro and virtually none of the fancy and expensive USB-C hubs support both video and PD charging on a single USB-C port.
