Will my Cannon EF 28-105mm f/3.5-4.5 II USM ultrasonic lens that I bought in 2004 work on this Cannon EOS Rebel T3? Is the focal range the same?

Hi Charles, the entire range of Canon EF and EF-S lenses will work on the T3 body, so yes, your 28-105mm lens will work. Because of the smaller sensor in the T3 (APS- C) when compared to cameras using full-frame sensors, the focal range will be different. In effect it will now be 45-168 mm.

Yes it will. Because the sensor is smaller than a 35mm film frame the focal length range (28-105) will have to be multiplied by a factor of 1.6 ( approx 45- 170)

It should. I have the Canon EF 55-200 mm 1:4.5-5.6 USM and it works like a charm.
