This system is a long-term treatment routine (up to 3x weekly depending on skin sensitivity) that results in BETTER skin -- without a doubt! I am 46 so I have wrinkles as well as a problem with white heads & trapped pores on my chin and along my jawline that lead to cystic acne. This system is great for keeping my pores unclogged but rarely does ONE product get RID of acne. I've used Benzoyl Peroxide products most of my life without success. After using this system for two minutes in each area of my face (high setting on forehead, each cheek, chin & low setting on nose/lips) I cover my face in my favorite Anti-Acne cleanser (Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit Cream Cleanser) and I go over my face again with the machine (run disc under warm water if extra moisture is needed so that puff glides smoothly over skin). Since I began using Salicylic Acid products (Neutrogena Rapid Clear Fight & Fade Toner and Gel) my acne has improved greatly but the Microdermabrasion System polishes my skin smooth and it looks extremely healthy & radiant. I have never had great skin but it definitely looks and feels so much better after I use this system! FYI: I also use a Acne Sulphur Mask (Acnefree) as an overnight spot treatment to dry up any pimple that rarely pops up. The -microdermabrasion system benefits your skin by sloughing off dead skin to reveal new, healthy skin underneath. This increases collagen production which is crucial in wrinkle prevention. This system also reduces scars and dark spots over time. I make sure to use the Acne Sulphur Mask the night after I use the microbermabrasion system as a break-out precaution. I am all about "prevention"! Be very gentle when using this machine especially in acne prone areas. Neutrogena does not recommend using microdermabrasion until you have your acne under control. I slathered on 100% Pure Aloe Gel after rinsing and I was very impressed with my results. My crows feet (fine lines) were polished off and my deep forehead wrinkles looked much better but the Neutrogena Fight & Fade products (contains Salicylic & Glycolic Acid) have made a difference in my acne & wrinkles as well. I suggest you watch the Neutrogena Microdermabrasion System reviews on you tube before purchasing. You can't really compare this system to the Clarisonic & Olay machines because this system is a microdermabrasion treatment not for daily cleansing so "I" prefer to remove my makeup prior to treatment. Amazon has a Holiday Bonus Pack that includes the Microdermabrasion System (machine, batteries, puff applicator, 12 puffs) AND 24 count System Refill Pack for $19.97!!!! I added an additional 24 count System Refill Pack for $10.66 so that I could get free shipping (over $25) through Amazon. My local stores sell the BASIC Neutrogena Microdermabrasion kit for $19.97 & the Refills are $12.97 per pack!!!! Worth every penny!! There is a warning on the packaging to not use on active pustule acne. It will be too abrasive.

The feel of your skin is amazing to from the very first use of this. This is by far the best investment for my skin I have ever made!! Get it! You won't regret it!!!

Yes but usage will depend on your skin type. I have combination skin so I only use it once or twice a week plus the price is really good. If you can remove the dead skin it should help to keep your pores clear and reduce the acne
