Does it have a fan? It's noisy? I mean this exact NUC5CPYH Celeron N3050 version, I know that the i5 version has it, but hope this one is fanless!

I wasn't sure about the answer to your question. I seemed to remember a fan with I installed the hard drive but, to answer your question confidently, I lifted the NUC to my ear. The fan is just notable. Obviously from this effort, I can say that there is a fan but you wont notice any fan noise unless you try hard to li…

It has a fan. It is very quiet and you can adjust the settings for it in the bios to favor a quiet setting. I use one as a mythtv dvr backend and another as a kodi front end.

It is as silent as it can be - I am going to go out on a limb and assume that there is a fan on it, as there are vents on the side and on the back, and there's a steel "box" on the top of the unit, but I don't feel like tearing it apart. Hope that helps!

It isn't noisy, you'll hear only the HDD if you don't use an SSD.
