Yes. The sides of the feeder are adjustable from 8.5'' to a receipt size width. There is also little rollers on the paper feeder chute to help roll it in.

Yes, you can adjust the width for smaller paper and there is an another way to extend the back of the tray for long paper too. It is very easy to do.

Yes. From under 2" (too narrow for even a vertical business card, to just a hair over 8.5". Also, even when you drop in a sheet without adjusting those slides, the feed mechanism keeps it amazingly straight. Then the processor will auto-align the image of the doc. All on the fly. Yes, it is adjustable. It also allows you to scan multiple sizes at one time (8.5" wide paper with a receipt and a postcard, for example, can all be scanned at the same time).
