It says you can. Mine has not been replaced yet. But the one that my sister bought can add books. You can install the Kindle or Nook app.

No I don't think you can. I haven't been able to Load any of my previous Google play books; & Believe me I've tried. It's like trying to down load video. This tablet doesn't seem to have the Capabilty...

These tablets were sold with Google Play installed. They are not licensed by Google for use with the store. You can get many of your apps from 1Mobile Market and the Amazon store, and they work fine

Yes you can get Kindle for android or Nook. I'm sure there are others out there also. I use Kindle simply because everything is so seamless when you're using the Amazon App store. :) No I don't work for any of those folks.

I downloaded the Kindle reader app from the play store and it works find. You can then read books either form Amazon or, if available, from your local library. I haven't tried any other sites yet, but a good test might be the Gutenberg site. Hope this helps.
