I've bought the 7" frame. 800X600 is enough for this size but I´m not sure if works as good as it does in a larger size

Yes, that is the maximum resolution. All of my pix are jpg, 1200 x 800, 200 dpi, and they display fine. I'm very satisfied with the frame. But be careful: as I've noted before, if you edit your pix in PhotoShop, and you save them as jpg, make sure you save them as jpg standard/baseline. Otherwise they won't display.

I wanted a frame that I could see the pictures on from a distance. If the pics displayed smaller on a smaller frame, they would be hard to see from across the room. The pics that do display, to us, are clear and crisp. They probably aren't what you would call "HD," by I believe for my needs, the resolution is adequate. I am very happy with this frame. Not sure whether this info will help you or not. - Tim see less According to the instruction manual I just read, it does appear that the maximum resolution is 800x600.
