If you are not a Prime member, Amazon doesn't care when you get your package. Only that you do get it eventually. Great article on Forbes about how Amazon dropped out of the top 10 for normal shipping so that all the Prime members get their packages in 2 days. It sounds like they over subscribed and are having a difficult time keeping up with all their orders. https://www.forbes.com/sites/kateashford/2016/01/30/amazon-shipping/#4e61b0016517

Man all these posts are right around the same time except the first one. Late Sept. 2017. I thought it was odd that I've waited 5 days already and the tracking on my packages says, "expected to ship Oct. 2" which is at least a week. My order isn't even from prime... so I dunno. The ones I did order on prime took like 2 days to receive. I guess it takes Amazon at least a week to get your items to UPS/FedEx/UPS/etc. I sell on ebay and I try to ship an item the day a customer buys it, but I guess amazon can get away with doing it a week later *shrugs*.

I have 5 orders in. 4 of them have taken at least 12 -14 days before they have shipped. I thought it was because I live outside the US but I guess not from reading all these replies. Amazon .ca seems to ship out pretty quick Prime or not.

I'm a Prime member and my items are taking 7-8 days to ship. The last three items I purchased were all shipped the same day IN SEPARATE BOXES, a week after I ordered them. One arrived in 2 weeks, one in 4, and the last in 6 weeks. Why the hell am I paying for Prime again? This is completely unacceptable.

It sucks Amazon is forcing people to buy Prime (It would really suck if Amazon made it where Prime is the only way to ship), I (probably many others) don't get Prime because we don't shop all the time (daily or more) where Prime would benefit........maybe if Amazon had different versions of Prime (like for example 'Amazon 2-day shipping Prime--$50.00/year' and you would only be paying for 2-day shipping)

I just cancelled two shipments totalling almost $300, the first was made on 11/20. At first I thought there may be delays in shipping due to the Thanksgiving week but I now see that is not the case with so many people having the same issue way before Thanksgiving. I guess I'll do my Christmas shopping somewhere else.

I have never been a prime member and I usually always plan at least 2 weeks from the time of order to actually receiving it. If it is coming from overseas to the US then 3-4 weeks. On an order I had in Sept I had shampoo that was in stock when ordered and after waiting a week for my order to ship was told it was out-of-stock. REALLLY?! That order should have been locked in when I placed the order. Absolutely ridiculous! If it wasn't for the prices and being able to order a lot of items (unrelated together) I would take my business elsewhere. Local businesses are terrible in my area and not worth the time, otherwise I would LOVE to go local. see less I have never been a prime member and I usually always plan at least 2 weeks from the time of order to actually receiving it. I'm an Amazon prime member and placed an order on 10 /16 /2020 and won't get it until 10/28/28. Yet on listing it states two day shipping. This product is sold and shipped by Amazon. My question is why pay for prime when you do not get your item as a prime member with in the time frame of two days?

Placed an order early september and had no issue with shipping. Placed an order on 11/3 and nothing has shipped yet (11/10). The expected arrival date is 11/27-12/1. Its called throttling folks. They are trying to get you to go prime for the holidays. But, from what I am hearing, even prime is still taking a week to process.
