Yes. It will pop up by pressing the button on the left side of the body when you want to force a flash. It will pop up automatically when more light is needed depending on the mode you are using, and how you have the camera configured. The flash will illuminate subjects up to around 10-12 ft.

Yes, it has a pop up flash with several settings such as auto, red eye reduction, etc. Flash is adequate for most situations, but not as powerful as a separate flash. Camera does not have a hot shoe, so the pop up flash is your only option for flash.
