does this crock pot have venting holes in the lid?

This absolutely has a venting hole and two latches which are only to be used when transporting food, not when cooking. I think the hole is a good idea as it allows some moisture to escape and you can end up with a less soupy stew.

Yes, it has one small vent hole. I was leary about it not being sufficient, but when I used it, the vent works fine.

Yes, this crock pot does have a vent hole in the lid. It is necessary because the crock pot has a snug fit around the rim of the lid. I've bought several crock pots in various sizes over the years. This is my all time favorite!

Because this one is meant to be used for transporting, it has a rubber seal around the lid. Therefore, it can't "vent" or "jiggle" as a normal lid does which lets steam out to avoid buildup. The vent hole allows excess steam to escape. Works very well!
