Does this warrenty cover the device if I drop it in a lake or pond and can not retrieve it? I already almost did that!!

Read your warranty, some automatically include accidental, others require extra coverage to so so. If you have ADH (Accidental Damage from Handling) coverage, yes, it covers dropping it in the lake and damaging it. They responded to all of my emails very promptly.

Squaretrade doesn't cover loss. But I would double check with them by calling them at 1-877-927-7268

i'm not entirely sure, but they didnt really ask me any questions they just sent another one. if you ask amazon a question and hit reply by phone , a representative will call you in like 15 seconds with answers to any question. from my understanding you need to be able to have the product to ship back in, but the water damage would be covered.
