I use SanDisk Extreme Pro. You can also use the SanDisk Extreme and they will be fine.

I use the Eye-Fi Pro X2 16G card. Class 10 speed. It Geotags the photo location, and will wirelessly upload to your network.

I use the sb900 and have had no issues. The d690 is full frame so you are goin to want to flash that throws light as far as the lens captures.

Any Class 10, SDHC card will do.
San Disk 32 gig Extreme HD video Class 10, 45 mb/s transfer rate is a good one.

I prefer the 32gb Sandisk Extreme SD HC1. At 45MB's a second it's plenty fast.
