I believe it comes with a 12 month warranty ... I purchased a subsequent warranty through smartguard (amazon offered). it was about 150 dollars.

Please read the last sentence of the description.
"The Model D is covered by Concept2's limited five year warranty on the frame and two year warranty on the Performance Monitor and moving parts."
We do not recommend purchasing additional warranties through Amazon (if offered) because Concept2 is unfamiliar with the company selling these services. We have built a product that is easy to repair for the at-home user, so if any issues come up after the warranty expires, spare parts are both affordable and easy to install.

I would call Concept2 directly at 800-245-5676. e-mail: Rowing@concept2com www.concept2.com
Perhaps they can help.

Unless you have mobility issues (i.e., you can sit down on the floor and get up again) buy a model D. It's much easier to live with, cheaper, and you can change the viewing angle on the monitor arm. see less

I have not seen one offered but I would not purchase it even if was readily available. Due to the extraordinary customer service the Concept2 people provide, I see no need. Hope that helps.
