It is a ported Android app, so you need to sideload it to the PB -- an easy process for sure. But it works flawlessly once installed.

Yes the Kindle App for Blackberry works ok. I however prefer to use the KOBO app which works just excellent for me.

I have not used amazon's app, but I will say despite the blackberry's many flaws performance of the few native apps has been excellent. The unit is heavier but the screen compares favorably to my nexus and iPad. With the poor standby time I wouldn't make it first on your list if you are looking to read while traveling,… see more I have not used amazon's app, but I will say despite the blackberry's many flaws performance of the few native apps has been excellent. Don't know if Kindle App works well however the apps I used worked great as this is a high quality tablet. My only complaint is the lack of apps available and the fact you cannot video chat except with other Blackberry users. Excellent cameras... no way to video chat with friends that have iPads or Androids.
