The latch is an obvious weak link for this maker. Two makers and two broken latches. The latch comes off with two screws, so you would think a replacement one is available somewhere! I asked my son if he could 3D print one for me....could have a market for this if he can! Anyone found a place to buy a replacement latch?

Both Lisa and Linda are correct, the dip tray is a separate piece that can be washed, and if you mean the actual griddle then no, it is not removable, but very easy to wash.

This will accommodate both sizes without a problem. Just do not try to over fill quesadillas. This maker works great and easy to clean.
