You have pay close attention to small nuances in the model name. My Action Extremes are Porro prism but the Action EX shown here are roof prisms. I'm perfectly happy with my Action Extremes if that helps.

These were bought for the ship that I'm on and they are very nice for the price, but they are not small they're weight is ok, but not extremely light. Great if you're not trudging through the bush or running around in the field. The price is good

What we use in Africa when hiking through the bush animal viewing, have found that the Nikon Monarch 10.5x45 model #7533 works really well, they are small compact and light weight and made well. These do cost more though. It all depends on what your needs are. Hope this helps you out some. Good luck, if you have any more questions just ask. see less
