No, this is the best quality walker out there. My girl learned to walk at 10 months with it on hard wood floor. No slipping, but I don't recall a break on it. She's 4 now and uses it as a shopping cart. Definitely worth the money.

Sorry, do not know about these issues. But my grandson loved it and 3 years later it is in perfect condition after much use. Now my next grandchild will use it. But I sympathy size with your concerns. My grandson never chewed on it.

we bought this for my granddaughter who is just learning to walk, it goes primarily in a straight line, once she started walking better she pushes it every where, usually with a doll or toy in the front or sometimes her big sister

yes. We bought it for our grandson when he was not walking. You can lock the wheels so it stays still. He loved to ride it while someone pushed it. He is 2 now and still loves his HABA Walker

My son is a pretty big boy for the age but he is still using it for play with the sister (5YO) and other toys.
It was very useful when he start to walk around 10/12 months and it was and it is one of the toys he used and still using almost every day
