The alarm itself is not excessively loud and does not wake you up with a headache but is cool to moderate sounding. Hope this information helps. see less This is not a wind up clock. Answer:
It would depend how far you are from the clock. The light is muted and mixed as a visual. If you are looking for a clear sighting in the fog of the night ... then do not buy this one.

Answer:
Three. They separate one for the light and two for the clock so that the light won't burn out the batteries. But for the past five years, my batteries have always lasted for more than a year.

Answer:
This is not a 24 hour alarm. If you want to get up at 6AM you set it when you go to bed and turn it off when you get up. If you set it again at that time it will ring at 6PM. I have never owned an alarm clock where you could set the alarm for AM or PM like some household electronics.

Answer:
There are 2 ways to see the clock when it is dark. Inside the plate on the back of the clock where the batteries are, there is a switch that says "auto light". If it is turned on, there is a very low light which is enough for me to see the hands on the clock in the dark. to shut it off or hit the Snooze Button on top for another 5 minutes of sleep.
Last week I used the Snooze Button 3-times (when it got loud) before getting up.

Answer:
I haven't had it run out of batteries yet, but I also use an electric alarm clock (set about 15 minutes later) as back-up. They sort of back-up each other. If the power is out, the wind-up can still go off. If the wind-up runs out of batteries, the other one would go off.

Answer:
If your bathroom is within 20-25 ft. you should be able to hear it. The alarm sound is adequate & I find it annoying but who isn't when the alarm sounds?
