Not really, like most blade grinders it depends on how long you run it. If consistency is important, I would recommend a burr grinder.

it's as loud as most other coffe grinders. I think my krups is quieter. I sometimes use a dish towel wrapped around the top and the motor (the bottom) to muffle the sound when we have guests. it will cut the decibel level in half.

There are only 2 parts. The base, which is where you put the beans. And the plastic top which includes the silver piece that looks like a spout... you press down on that to activate the cutting blade. But there is no separate container for removing the ground coffee. You have to scoop it out.
