Don’t know about the area you reside, but I cannot find them in stores; they come in a box of 12 and last a long time so may account for price

The package labeling does not say, however; the ingredient list is wheat flour, water, buckwheat flour, wheat bran, salt, caramel powder, natural grape skin. I would imagine from that listing that there is more wheat flour than buckwheat flour.

They measure approximately 6 mm by 1.5 mm uncooked. Not very wide; not at all thick.

Based on their ingredient listing being only wheat flour, water, and salt; I would say these could be considered vegan.
