Yes I took a kitchen towel and laid it over the different colors to get the creases out. Because there are creases and they will show in your photos. I used a steam iron. Make sure it is not a super hot iron or you will burn a hole through the material. But do not put the iron directly on the fabric use a towel over it.

I bought four of the same type. Not sure that it really matters much if you are setting the white balance of your camera before shooting. That should compensate for differences in light spectrum.
