This is exactly why I bought this pan. I had always used cast iron on a gas stove. Our new home has an electric flat top. This pan worked fabulously on the flat-glass stove!!! Have no fear.

If your aebleskiver turns out gooey it is because you cook them on too high heat. Turn the heat down and let them cook slowly and you will have perfect aebleskiver. It is the only reason they are not cooked.

No it takes a cast iron pan to heat the pan. This is aluminum.

Yes it does. I have an electric coil range and that is what I use to make my abelskivers. It works fine.
