To fit an iPhone 5 you'd need an Apple 30-pin to Lightning adapter, although I opted for a 3.5mm audio cable and plugged that in the headphone jack of the iPhone and the Aux-in port on the JBL OnStage.
It does NOT natively support any Apple device with a Lightning port.

You can certainly replace the power supply. Often you have to buy a variable supply with multiple plug ends that switch out (you must match the size to the original). Just be sure to match the voltage on the original.

I just talked to JBL customer service. This will work with an iphone5 if you buy a 30 pin adapter from Apple. The man said you can then listen to music and charge the phone, but some of the other functions might not work as well

The only issue is that the speakers come with a set of plastic cups that fit between the speakers and the iDevice. The purpose is to handle the different device thicknesses. The sizes included only cover the iPods/iPhones that existed when the speakers were first designed. I could see them not fitting later devices. In practice this was never a problem for me. I found that it worked even if I didn't use the plastic part. It just makes the fit a little loose and you must support the iPod when using its touch screen. see less
