Of course square trade said they'd jump in if the manufacturer didn't do their own warranty, but that's not likely. Also, in year 1 & 2 you are responsible to pay shipping back to the manufacturer, and only in years 3 -5 will square trade do in home repair, pay for shipping, or replacement. By year 3, if your tv hasn't had any problems, it's very unlikely it will in years 3-5. see less Yes, but I dropped the plan. Absolutely, I had just done this last month. It is very simple and I had a recent claim and it was handled quickly and coverage was excellent, just keep your receipts. Square Trade is the best I have ever dealt with and use them for all new purchases. Truly excellent !

Answer:
Yes you can buy a Square Trade protection plan for a refurbished TV. What you are buying is warranty to have your TV repaired and if they cannot fix it they will replace it. Go to http://www.squaretrade.com/ to get all of the information.
